 According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the global cancer rates can rise up to 57 percent in the next 20 years. That is really high. But, with many different foods that are being processed and meats that are consumed in copious amounts, it’s no wonder why the organization thinks this to be true.

Despite the morbid prediction, there is still hope. In fact, a third of the most common cancers can be prevented through good exercise and proper nutrition.

Tobacco is one of the leading causes of cancers and other conditions such as bad breath, decreased libido, premature ejaculation, etc, and it would be best if you cut the habit as soon as possible.

If you have tried quitting before, then try again. According to surveys, people who have actually quit smoking has tried many times before they were able to truly stop the negative habit.

 

  1. Get Your Move On

Our bodies are designed to move. If you remain sedentary for most of your day, your likelihood of contracting certain cancers can increase.

I suggest that you start with a light cardio workout like walking. If you want, you can buy a fitness tracker as this gadget allows you to track how many steps you’ve taken so far in a given day.

Once you get the hang of it, you can then start running/jogging or perhaps even adding resistance training/lifting weights to your program.

 

  1. Get Some Fiber

Fiber is one of the most essential things that your body needs to increase immunity and also fight cancer-causing agents as well. Not only will this improve your health, but it can also improve your weight loss efforts as well.

Fiber also contains some nice goodies as well such as Phytochemicals that help reduce inflammation and it is also known to protect your DNA as well.

Some good sources of fiber would include 100% whole grain, some fruits, and vegetables.

 

  1. Ask Your Doctor For Some Low-Dose Aspirin

This might be some unconventional advice, but this actually has scientific backing. Consuming low-dose aspirin can decrease the chances of getting lung, colon, ovarian, pancreatic, and other forms of cancer by as much as 20-40%. It can also help reduce the cancer cells to spread in other areas of your body should you have already contracted them.
